Departing from London. Sit back and enjoy the drive through the English countryside on route to our first stop, the charming university town of Oxford. It is known as 'the City of Dreaming Spires' and is the oldest university in the English-speaking world. We will enjoy a walking tour of this historic city, and stroll through the streets surrounded by bright stoned buildings, absorbing a sense of tradition and history. Discover the tiny alleyways and windy back roads that likely inspired Lewis Carroll when he wrote Alice in Wonderland. There are an impressive 36 colleges that make up the university and you'll have a chance to wander through the courtyards and quadrangles of some of the famous colleges; including Christ Church College which would be familiar to Harry Potter fans as many scenes were filmed here. We'll have time to stop by the Bodleian Library, which was used as Hogwarts Library, and the famed Radcliffe Camera. Bodleian is the main reach library of the university and one of the oldest in Europe. It holds over 12 million items and is the second largest library in the United Kingdom after the British library in London.
Later on, we leave Oxford and travel onwards to Blenheim Palace. It is considered one of the finest baroque houses in England. Sir Winston Churchill was born in the Palace in 1874. Inside the Palace can be found a superb collection of tapestries, paintings, porcelain and furniture in the magnificent State Rooms. Surrounding the palace are over 2,000 acres of beautiful parkland, lakes, fountains and gardens.

We set off for the pretty market town of Stratford-upon-Avon where you will visit the half-timbered birthplace of William Shakespeare. Walk in the footsteps of the magnificent playwright, poet and actor; William Shakespeare, as you enjoy a fascinating visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace. Hear tales of his family and life in Tudor England.
Late on, we head to Warwick Castle which is 15 – 20 minutes’ drive from Stratford Upon Avon. Dating back to 914 AD, it has stood as an impressive Medieval Fortress on the banks of the river Avon for the last 1100 years. The castle has survived the changing fortunes of history and remains one of the most well-preserved Medieval castles in the UK. A visit to Warwick Castle is a must on any visit to Shakespeare’s England.

The Cotswolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty which is characterised by rolling hills, medieval villages and picture perfect thatched cottages made of yellow Cotswold stone made prosperous by the historic wool trade. With a variety of different villages there is something to see around every corner of the Cotswold’s, an area bursting with colour. Today, we will start our tour by visiting a small market town called Stow-on-the Wold and then visit the historic and charming village of lower slaughter. Next on the tour is Bourton-on-the-Water known as the 'Little Venice' of the Cotswold’s which sits on the River Windrish. which is regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England. Spend some time in this lovely little village and you'll understand why.
We will also stop in one of the most photographed cottage settings which is found in Bibury. Stop by the 16th century cottages of Arlington Row which are framed perfectly by sweeping meadow and a brook that runs alongside it. It's no surprise that this little village has been featured in so many films that try to capture quaint old England.

On our final day of the tour we will first stop in the Georgian city of Bath, which is without doubt one of the major highlights for anyone travelling around the UK. A city so beautiful and special that it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. On the walking tour learn about its Roman history and the city’s rebirth in Georgian times including its triumph of architecture in the beautiful Royal Crescent. Also, see the only bridge in the UK and one of three in the world that has buildings on both sides. Many religious buildings such as Bath Abbey are also available to visit. There are many street entertainers in the city Center, shops of all types and of course many restaurants and cafes. In the afternoon, we set off for our final stop of the tour; the legendry and mythical Stonehenge site. Explore the mythical standing stones, the Neolithic Houses and the fascinating exhibition which is home to over 250 ancient objects and treasures, including jewellery, pottery and tools. Witness the iconic Neolithic stone structure of the Standing Stones and gaze in awe at the capabilities of our ancestors. Stonehenge is one of the oldest prehistoric sites in Europe and is also a UN World Heritage Site. The site was first started in 3100BC and was in use until 300AD, almost 3500 years ago. Finally, your experience with us is almost at an end. We then leave Stonehenge and travel through the counties of England onwards to London where this tour ends.

It is the principal residence of the Dukes of Marlborough, and the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace.
Christ Church is one of the colleges of Oxford University, founded in 1546 it sits in the heart of the city. Today it is a key part of a very modern university, offering a home, undergraduate teaching and graduate supervision to over six hundred students. It stands out for its size, the beauty of its buildings, and its welcoming atmosphere, as well as the distinguished research and teaching that goes on within its walls. It is unique in another way too: it is a cathedral as well as a college.
Christ Church has had many students who have subsequently gone on to achieve considerable fame. Among these are the philosopher John Locke, religious leaders John Wesley and William Penn and the writers W.H. Auden and Lewis Carroll. Albert Einstein studied at Christ Church briefly in the 1930s. The College also has a close connection with government. Christ Church has produced 13 Prime Ministers and numerous Cabinet ministers, Bishops and civil servants.
The House's most celebrated political alumnus is William Gladstone who was Prime Minister 4 times during the 19th Century. More recent members include the comedy writer Richard Curtis and the composer and broadcaster Howard Goodall.
Christ Church is a working academic and religious institution. Some areas such as the Hall and Cathedral will close to visitors when in use for private events or services. It is normally extremely busy in July and August, particularly at weekends, and queues will form for entry into Christ Church and also the Hall and Cathedral. Please allow extra time during this period. You may wish to consider visiting on a weekday when we are not quite as busy.

Shakespeare’s New Place
was his family home from 1597 until he died in the house in 1616. The house was demolished in 1759, a registered garden has been designed to commemorate the importance of the site and allow visitors to make their own personal connection with Shakespeare.
When Shakespeare bought New Place he was an established playwright and it is believed that he wrote his later plays there, including The Tempest.
Follow in Shakespeare’s footsteps through a new entrance on the site of the original gatehouse and enjoy a contemporary landscape that reveals the footprint of the Shakespeare family home. The re-imagined site gives an impression of the scale of New Place and relationship to the surrounding buildings; such as the neighbouring King Edward VI School and Guild Chapel that were once attended by a young Shakespeare.

Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our panoramic tour of the city, there will be time to visit Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge overlooking the river Avon cascading over the weir. And you can shop, explore or take afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms while listening to the string quartet.
The entrance ticket includes entrance to the Roman Baths that were built nearly 2,000 years ago. Built on Britain's only natural hot water spring lies the magnificent Roman public bath complex and Roman temple. At the heart of the World Heritage Site you can walk around the steaming pool on the Roman stone paving and admire the ancient Roman statues and architecture.
The Victoria Art Gallery permanent collection on the first floor explores 500 years of European art and artists and is free to everyone.

Entrance times: Open daily 09:00 to 17.00 and last admission time is 2 hours before the advertised closing time. Entrance to Stonehenge is now managed through timed tickets and advance booking is the only way to guarantee entry on the day and time of your choice. You need to book in advance at these prices. Stonehenge is closed 24 and 25 December and shorter opening hours on 26 December and 1 January.
