Our first stop is the over 400-year-old Yuyuan Garden, the representative ancient garden in Shanghai. Here you can appreciate the elegant pavilions, villa, lotus pond and bridges. Don’t miss the two highlights - Mid-Lake Pavilion and Zigzag Bridge that make access to the Pavilion possible. Out from Yuyuan Garden move on to the neighboring Yuyuan Market and Temple of City God, both are full of Chinese worldly liveliness. Around the Market you’ll find as many traditional Chinese handicrafts and art works as possible, while at the 600-year-old Temple of City God you’ll see scores of sculptures that represent powerful Taoist immortal in Chinese view. Besides, these two places boast delicious snacks. You may as well have a taste.

Then, we will visit Shanghai Municipal History Museum. The Museum shows you a vivid panorama of Shanghai’s development from a remote fishing village to an international metropolis. The part of old Shanghai life during 1920s to 1940s is the most attractive.

We continue to stroll along the 1,599-meter-long Nanjing Road; you can see why it's regarded the symbol of Shanghai fashion and luxury. Nanjing Road is moreover a prelude of the amazing assembly of European-styled old buildings, The Bund! Here you can embrace the best cityscape, feast on the rich architectural fashions ( Gothic, Baroque, Rome, Renaissance, Classic and Mixed Eastern and Western style, etc.) and know why Shanghai is glorified as Paris of the East.

Finally, complete the tour of Shanghai by visiting Oriental Pearl Tower to have a panoramic view of Shanghai.
