Today our tour starts at the vast Forbidden City including Jewellery, Robes and Relics Collection – It was home of the emperors of China for nearly 600 years! The sprawling palace represents the truly awesome power of the emperor within its seemingly endless chambers. Upon stepping forth from the Forbidden City, we can stroll along the now infamous Tiananmen Square, which witnessed some of the most dramatic events of china’s recent history.
Optional: Tonight, dinner is recommended at Da Dong Roast Duck Restaurant. Here, the ducks are immersed in condiments unique to the restaurant and are roasted directly over flames stoked by fruit tree wood, providing an unforgettable dining experience. (Reservation only)
Your journey continues today with whole day excursion to one of the wonders of the world - The Great Wall of China. Visit Mutianyu with Cable Car, one of the less crowded sections of the Great Wall of China. Despite gazing across the mountains at the winding vista of the great wall fading away on the horizon, one can only barely grasp the sheer length and scale of the wall. Later in the afternoon, visit Ming Tombs at Changling and the Sacred Way before heading back to Beijing.
In the morning, visit Tiantan, the Temple of Heaven, where the ancient emperors performed their most important rituals. You can see people play Tai Chi and various other activities here. It’s a perfect place to get a glimpse of the life style of local people. Then, go on a unique tour – a rickshaw/trishaw tour of the world renowned Beijing Hutong area among the twisted lanes and alleyways. Fast disappearing Hutongs are considered as the traditional way of living in 21st Century Beijing.
In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace with its lovely garden and lakes –the Deheyuan Theatre Museum, the Long Corridor etc are a must for any visiting Summer Palace.
In the evening transfer to the train station for your train to Xi’an (ON SOFT SLEEPER).
In the morning, climb the Ancient City Wall for some wonderful views overlooking the city, then you can go biking atop the wall. Later, we will explore Xi’an’s Muslim influences in the Old Quarter, the Great Mosque, and the bazaar. Visit the Folk House – Gao Family to watch a wonderful shadow puppet show. In the afternoon, visit the Shanxi History Museum, one of the three largest in China and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Today we will visit the famed Qin Terracotta Warriors. Discovered accidentally by farmers attempting to dig a well, the terracotta warriors guard the Emperor Qin's tomb. The still-being-excavated tombs are among the most famous and unusual sights china has to offer.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Hanyangling Museum which is not far away from the airport. This mausoleum which is built at the base of the joint tomb of Emperor Jindi and his Empress is the largest museum in China.
Later on transfer to the airport for the flight to Jiuzhaigou. Jiuzhaigou airport is 3400 meters above sea level, the 3rd highest airport in the world. Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Jiuzhaigou sightseeing bus (due to its protected status, diesel and gasoline powered vehicles are forbidden in the park). Full day explore the fantasy of Jiuzhaigou, including a visit to Panda Lake, Mirror Lake, Tiger Lake, Five Flower Lake, Rhinoceros Lake, Peacock River & Lake, Nourilang Waterfall, Shuzheng Waterfall, Pearl Shoal Waterfall etc... This is one of the most scenic routes in the whole of China and a must for any China itinerary.
After breakfast check out of your hotel and transfer to Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) National Park for sightseeing. The rich mineral streams of Huanglong have, over thousands of years, built Huanglong into a series of hundreds of waterfalls feeding into small pools of crystal clear water. Set against the backdrop of verdant forests and mountain peaks, Huanglong is a truly indescribable natural wonder. Transfer to the airport for the late afternoon flight.
Optional: Tonight, recommend you to enjoy an amazing Face Changing Show in Chengdu (VIP seat, row 1-4, starts at 8:00 pm).
After breakfast, we drive to Leshan (2 hours drive) to see Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest carved stone Buddha in the world. Take a boat to the river in front of the mountain where the Buddha was carved into the cliff and view the huge Buddha on boat at the foot of the mountain before climbing the mountain to see the Buddha in different perspectives from the top. Return to Chengdu in the afternoon. We can spend some time touring Kuanzhai Lane or sitting in a tea house having a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu People’s Park.
After breakfast, we head to the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center. Take a walk in this beautiful park where you can see the pandas playing or sleeping. A Panda Volunteer Program can be provided. Some of the tasks that volunteers may do include feeding the pandas or helping the panda take a cool bath (depending on the weather) and you can ask your guide to arrange for you to take a photo with a panda cub in your lap. Of course, taking picture photo with baby panda costs extra as donation (see below). The donation is dedicated to the care of all Pandas.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Guilin.
In the morning transfer to the Village of Pingan (Peace) in Longsheng County to visit the Longji (Dragon Back) Rice Terraces. You will see the Zhuang and Yao Minority tribe villages and some families as you climb Longji Mountain. Atop the summit, we can take in the verdant green of the hundreds of rice paddy terraces climbing the mountain walls. The coiling line that starts from the foot of the mountain to up to the mountain top divides the mountain into layers of water glittering in the sun in spring, layers of green rice shoots in summer, layers of golden rice in fall, and layers of silvery frost in winter. The terraced fields were mostly built during the Ming Dynasty about 500 years ago.
In the morning depart for Yangshuo on a Cruise up the most beautiful section of the Li River (about 4.5 hours with a Chinese lunch aboard). This is your opportunity to enjoy the views of the towering Limestone Mountains, roaming herds of water buffalo, and flocks of migratory birds. Upon arrival, you will find that the ancient town of Yangshuo is home to at least three distinct ethnic groups, the Hui, Zhuang, and Yao. Its quaint streets, old shops, and local cafes make this a favorite respite from the larger cities of China. Spend the afternoon at your own leisure.

After breakfast, take a guided bike tour via country roads alongside rice paddies to visit the Ancient Banyan Tree Park and the Moon Hill. We will spend the remainder of the day touring local villages and have lunch in a local farmhouse.
In the afternoon transfer to the airport in Guilin for the flight to Shanghai.
Another way to check out the beauty of Yangshuo, on a bamboo raft! It's relaxing and nostalgic. You can sit in a chair, float down the Yulong River on a simple bamboo raft, and get back to nature. It takes about an hour.
Our first stop is the over 400-year-old Yuyuan Garden, the representative ancient garden in Shanghai. Here you can appreciate the elegant pavilions, villa, lotus pond and bridges. Don’t miss the two highlights - Mid-Lake Pavilion and Zigzag Bridge that make access to the Pavilion possible. Out from Yuyuan Garden move on to the neighboring Yuyuan Market and Temple of City God, both are full of Chinese worldly liveliness. Around the Market you’ll find as many traditional Chinese handicrafts and art works as possible, while at the 600-year-old Temple of City God you’ll see scores of sculptures that represent powerful Taoist immortal in Chinese view. Besides, these two places boast delicious snacks. You may as well have a taste.
Then, we will visit Shanghai Municipal History Museum. The Museum shows you a vivid panorama of Shanghai’s development from a remote fishing village to an international metropolis. The part of old Shanghai life during 1920s to 1940s is the most attractive.
We continue to stroll along the 1,599-meter-long Nanjing Road; you can see why it's regarded the symbol of Shanghai fashion and luxury. Nanjing Road is moreover a prelude of the amazing assembly of European-styled old buildings, The Bund! Here you can embrace the best cityscape, feast on the rich architectural fashions ( Gothic, Baroque, Rome, Renaissance, Classic and Mixed Eastern and Western style, etc.) and know why Shanghai is glorified as Paris of the East.
Finally, complete the tour of Shanghai by visiting Oriental Pearl Tower to have a panoramic view of Shanghai.
Optional: At night, we recommend Shanghai Acrobatic show as your add-on activity. As one of the oldest performing arts in China, the acrobatics displayed on stage include a number of feats focusing on flexibility, strength, endurance, and sheer will-power.

The French Concession Region, an area where some traditional Shanghai style lodgings (shikumen) with its unique blend of European and Chinese architecture and design are preserved. Many are converted to chic restaurants, clubs and boutiques. There is also a nice miniature museum, showing the configuration and interior of a recreated 1930s shikumen house.
Chunming Art Industrial Park in No. 50 Moganshan Rd. Converted from decommissioned industrial area, here we can see the mushrooming Chinese innovation in arts.
